The longer I go at this the more I think this is what we're up against. Even as Christians, we've been brought up in the productivity gospel - that if we are not DO-ing something for God we are letting Him down or burying our talents. The only way I know to balance this is by listening to my heart: what feels life-giving and what feels life-draining. Keep writing, though! It's a wonderful gift that pays off in more ways than income!
