That could have been so much worse! I totally relate to that phone call because I've received two such calls about my husband over the years. The first was his father telling me that Michael had been electrocuted. The only thing I could think to say was, "Is he dead?" Fast forward 2 years later and my nephew calls to tell me that my husband had been struck by lightning. Again, all I could think to say was, "Is he dead?" I wrote a funny story about those incidents.
