My father was a victim of the Catholic church too. He was a foster kid so prefect prey for them. He didn’t reveal his story to our family until shortly before his death. I grieve for him, for the innocence he lost (although he was raped in his foster home too), and how our family suffered from his anger and silent shame. Thank you for this piece.
