I've dealt with these same scenarios my whole career and I'm a white woman. I've come to understand that it's often due to the fact that we're smarter and faster than everyone else and we're ahead of them. When we suggest something they can't even grasp that it's a good idea. Then it sinks in and someone else says it and everyone's on board. Not to dismiss your experience as a woman of color but I suspect you intimidated people because you had more talent and intelligence. I've had my ideas stolen so many times, listened to co workers use my exact words and take credit for them...I can't even anymore. I look forward to when I can be free, like you. Time to start my retirement countdown!!
