It's not much different working remotely. The meetings are multiplied because managers want to know that you are paying attention and are doing the work. I say if the work is done why do you care how long it takes me? I can typically accomplish in 5 hours what it takes my coworkers to do in 8 so why should I just sit in front of my computer to prove that I am working? Bothersome coworkers were my biggest time drains.
