I'm right there with you! A little more ripe, though. Just laid off at 58. I'm white, female, not a veteran, no disability. I'm reminded of my lack of diversity every time I apply for a job. This is my 3rd time on unemployment and I'm finally convinced that trading hours for dollars is wasting my life. I'm in agreement with you. I deserve to make money doing what I love so I don't have to go back to the corporate grind. I've been writing about my mindset shift during unemployment, also. It's liberating!
